Herbert Gruber, born 1962 in Vienna, graphic designer since 1986, straw bale builder and networker (asbn – austrian strawbale network) since 1998, father and grandfather of two (grand)children. Several strawbuilding companies, now it’s Strohnatur. Workshops since 2010, STEP-Training since 2017 (Straw Building Training for European Professionals). Partner of several national and European projects (renewable materials with a focus on straw, virtual building site Ravelsbach, trainingscenter, 3x training, 2x prefab-systems). ESBA co-president from 2015-2023, now ESBA secretary.
