In the mirror of the past : century old straw bale buildings in Nebraska

After reading and translating Roger Welsch 1970 study on the first straw bale buildings in Nebraska, I went on looking for the surviving structures and visited a 1925’s load bearing sb house and an 1928’s load bearing sb church. During that same trip I was fortunate enough to visit a hundred more sb buildings from the 1980s to today including several load bearing sb and sb retrofit.

The event is finished.
