Structural contribution of straw bale enclosures in light-frame buildings: Buckling and racking contribution in comparison with other enclosure systems.
Presentation of the results of some experimental tests that will be carried out at Universitè de Bordeaux between June and July 2025 as a part of Josu’s PhD. These tests will be done on walls built with the traditional CUT technique

I am an Industrial Engineer specialized in Industrial Building by the UPV/EHU. Years ago, in 2011, I also attended a Sustainability Master's Degree at Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya (UPC), in which I specialized in Sustainable Predoctoral Researcher and teacher (University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU) I have experience both in onsite building with straw bales and wooden structure and also in researching in this field. Actually, I am in my last year of PhD, where we are studying the influence of the straw bales in the structural behaviour of a CUT (Cells Under Tension) system.
